About Us

The Founder

Arshad Shaikh was born in Lahore, Pakistan, in the late 1950s. During his time in the country, he witnessed the effects of poverty firsthand. He moved to the United States in 1987 but has always harbored a dream to help the people of his home country. His mission is to assist those who cannot help themselves, as prescribed by the Quran and the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). His passion for helping people in need finally came to fruition in 2017 when he started the nonprofit organization, Caring For Poor.

Our Commitment

Caring for Poor is committed to helping individuals and families throughout Pakistan who currently live below the poverty line. We are dedicated to assisting those who cannot afford life’s necessities, such as food, filtered water, and education, as these are major areas of need in Pakistan. Our aim is to provide a secure, preventive, and creative environment for the new generations of the lower class. We strive to explore and develop the positive hidden talents and abilities of children to sketch out a future plan for them. We are laying down the foundations for a free-of-cost, state-of-the-art educational institute called We Care School System. Additionally, we provide lunch to students. We offer free assistance and consulting for slow learners and children with speech problems. Furthermore, we conduct free medical camps for eye and general health check-ups.
